<p class="black"><strong>About Us</strong></p>

Tinting started life as Ruthin Car Sales (hence RCS). I started that business
in July 1995 after working in the car industry for the previous 7 years. After
having enough of main agents, I decided to sell cars for my-self and the garage
went from strength to strength. </p>
<p class="black">After a pretty serious medical problem in 2001, I took several
months off and so the business went a bit pear shaped. On my return I moved
locations and took over MJ Auto’s (MOT’s and servicing) . Very enjoyable
but it wasn’t me, so one Sunday while I was down the garage waiting for
a punter to arrive for one of my sales cars I was flicking through the Autoexpress
and noticed an advert for a window film company advertising for Tinting installers.
After a bit of negotiation I enrolled on the course down in Southampton.</p>
<p class="black">On my return I started to tint my own cars and friends cars just
to get a bit of practice in. I then went to America for 3 weeks and when I got
back there was a list of people wanting their cars, vans and trucks tinted.
I was now tinting in the evening and weekends as I couldn’t tint and run
the garage at the same time, I did try but too many interuptions and the dust
made a good tint installation impossible. Come August 2002 I couldn’t
cope and after much sole searching closed the garage, laying off the lads and
concentrating just on tinting and car sales.</p>
<p class="black">After a very busy Winter, we’re now into early 2003 and
I’ve wound down the car sales to concentrate totally on tinting. I’m
hoping to open a tint shop in Denbigh shortly in a much smaller unit on the
industrial estate as I just don’t need somewhere as big as where I am
in Ruthin. </p>
<p class="black">I now do the tinting for several main dealers including :- Citroen,
Hyundai, Subaru, Vauxhall and Ford. Also a couple of windscreen companies including
A & C windscreens and RAC Auto windscreens, but the majority of my work
is for the general public and it is nearly all word of mouth, the best advertising
you can get. </p>
<p class="black">If I get the time I am hoping to get to some shows this year

<p class="black"><strong>Products and Services</strong></p>

IT DONE ? </strong> </p>
<p class="black">With a special film, applied to the inside of the glass. Unlike
cheaper films ours is actually bonded to the glass and is guaranteed against
flaking or delaminating for as long as you keep the vehicle!</p>
<p class="black"><strong>DOES IT HAVE ANY PRACTICAL USE ? Does it ever!</strong></p>
<p class="black"><strong>1</strong>:- The majority of installations I do are with
the SILHOUETTE range of films. This is a multi-layered, metalized film that
protects your vehicle's interior from the damaging effects of the sun. Using
SILHOUETTE film will block 99% of the sun's harmful UV rays and up to 59% of
the heat.</p>
<p class="black"><img src="images/broken_1.jpg" alt="Broken Glass" width="250" height="189" hspace="5" align="right"><strong>2</strong>:-
Putting SILOUETTE window film on your vehicle will help reduce the fading of
seats and carpets; it prolongs the life of all rubber, wood, vinyl and leather
inside your vehicle. It also helps protect your dashboard, mobile, audio equipment
and speakers.</p>
<p class="black"><strong>3</strong>:- The film reduces potentially dangerous glare
from the sun, headlights and reflective surfaces. The reduction of this glare
can actually make your driving safer. </p>
<p class="black"><strong>4</strong>:- It will help hold together broken glass
if it is shattered in an accident. However don't worry it will not trap you
in the car as it is very easy (and a lot safer) to push the glass OUTWARDS once
it has broken. In contrast it is very hard to push it inwards, like a thief
would , if they were trying to break into your vehicle. </p>

IT SCRATCH EASILY ?</strong></p>
<p class="black">YES if you attack it with a nail or some scissors, but as your
not likely to do that NO it doesn't, once the film is actually bonded to your
windows, it forms a tough shield the rebuffs attempts to scratch it just like
the rear quarter glass out of Micheal Owen's (Liverpool FC) Range Rover.</p>
<p class="black"><strong>CAN YOU TINT ALL THE WINDOWS ?</strong></p>
<p class="black">By Law we can't tint the windscreen and unlike some out there
I will not tint anything darker than 35 on the front windows so don't ask me
to!!!! Since the construction and use regulations were written in 1986, window
film manufacture has moved on immeasurably and now a 35% film to the front windows
in no way impedes your vision, BUT, there are little hitlers out there (not
the police funnily enough) with a new toy that still quote the construction
and use reg's, and if anyone has any trouble PLEASE GET IN TOUCH.</p>

CAN YOU TINT ?</strong></p>
<p class="black">Pretty much anything, a lot of van's have their rear winows BLACKED
OUT so you can't see what's inside, more people are doing this to estate cars,
take for example my Xantia estate. It's now almost impossible to see whats in
the back from the outside, but you can still see out no problem at all.</p>

NOTE THE SUN STRIP ON THE WINDSCREEN OF THE MACHINE. I ALSO DID THE GLASS ROOF
TO CUT DOWN GLARE WHEN THE OPERATOR IS DOING A HIGH LIFT. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE</p>
<p class="unnamed1"> <span class="black"><strong><img src="images/machinery_1.jpg" alt="Tinted machinery" width="250" height="202" hspace="5" align="left">ARE
THERE ANY PROBLEMS ?</strong></span></p>
<p class="black">Not from your point of view, but there are a couple from mine
as the installer. Alot of windows now have what is call a DOT MATRIX affect
around the outside and this can cause the film to sit slightly proud of the
glass but this is nothing to worry about. The only other problem is airborne
dirt, we obviously keep everything as spotless as possible but short of working
in a vacuum ( not healthy) tiny bits of minute dust will settle on the glass
as I lay the film, 99% of the time under normal conditions you will not even
notice them. DON'T WORRY.</p>
